Spend what fits your budget. There is no rule, and the old idea about spending three months of salary is just marketing. At Seema Fine Jewelry, engagement rings start around $1,400, and every ring is made to order, so you can size the diamond and the setting to your budget.
Lab-grown diamonds give you a larger look for less. Natural diamonds cost more for the same size.
What is the difference between an engagement ring and a wedding band?
An engagement ring is the ring you propose with, and it usually has a center diamond. A wedding band is the ring you exchange at the wedding, often a plain or diamond-set band that sits next to the engagement ring. Many people wear both together.
Are the diamonds certified?
Yes. Diamonds over one carat are certified by GIA or IGI, for both lab-grown and natural stones. You get the grading report with your ring.
How long does a made-to-order engagement ring take?
Most rings ship in about four to six weeks. If you need it sooner, tell the team and they will let you know what is possible.
