Clover Necklaces

Mother of pearl, onyx, turquoise and malachite, all natural stones cut and inlaid into 14K yellow gold. One design alternates mother of pearl and onyx clovers along the same chain. Two pieces skip the inlay and use natural diamonds instead, at 0.17 and 0.32 carats. Every inlay is unique, since the stone patterning is never repeated.

Half an inch across, which is the size that reads clearly against skin without becoming the whole outfit. The station versions use smaller clovers repeated along an 18 inch chain, so the motif shows several times instead of once. Pendant chains adjust between 16 and 18 inches.

The four-leaf clover is a luck motif, which is why it is so often given as a gift at a new job, a move or a milestone rather than bought for oneself. It carries no religious meaning, so it travels easily across cultures. That neutrality is a large part of why it has stayed a staple in fine jewelry.

Four rounded petals meeting at a center point, the shape sometimes called a quatrefoil, which most people read as a four-leaf clover and wear as one. The half-inch pendants hold one inlaid stone per petal, cut and fitted individually, which is why the patterning runs differently across every piece.
